Marisa seeks creative stories with well developed plots and rich characters with unique voices.
For Adults, New Adults, and Young Adults she will consider Contemporary Romance, Thrillers, Adventure, Paranormal, Urban Fantasy, Science Fiction, or any combination thereof.
For Middle Grade age she likes very unique concepts in Fantasy, Adventure and Science Fiction.
She loves Picture Books with special stories to deliver a subtle non didactic message. (Illustrations not needed.)
She especially enjoys Christmas, time travel, and space science fiction or science themed stories.
In non-fiction, she enjoys out of the box and high concept spiritual, self-improvement, science, and business books for all ages. Yes, that includes business books for kids! They are needed.
To Submit Your Work:
Marisa prefers that you attach the 1-2 page synopsis (double spaced) and the first 5 pages of your manuscript to the query e-mail as separate Word .doc or .docx files. Picture book submissions require the full manuscript.
